As someone that works varying shift hours and has no real set routine day-to-day, I find it hard to completely relax on my days off as I feel I need to make the most of whatever free time I actually get, and personally there is no better way for me to relax than spending the day eating delicious food and exploring with my number one.
Our favourite go-to restaurant is ALWAYS Wagamama's, the portion sizes are huge, the flavours are amazing, and it's honestly so worth the money (for those of you that haven't been, you can view the menu here).
(Tori Kaga Age - Seasoned crispy chicken pieces dressed in and served with a spiced sesame and soy sauce. Garnished with lime)
(Grilled Duck Donburi - Tender shredded duck leg in a spicy teriyaki sauce, served with carrots, mangetout, sweet potato, and red onion, on a bed of sticky Japanese rice. Finished with a crispy fried egg, shredded cucumber and spring onions withe a side of kimchee.)
(Grilled Duck Ramen - Tender shredded duck leg, splashed with citrus ponzu sauce on top of noodles in a light vegetable broth. Dressed with chilli, pea shoots, and coriander.)
After filling up on food we decided to have a wander into Horsham shopping centre, where after a good hunt I found the most beautiful bag, searching for it has made me realise how picky I actually get when I'm shopping.
From there, we ventured into the park to sit by the most peaceful little hidden river, I don't think there's anything more relaxing than being by the water on a sunny day, for anyone that is also on shift hours, or even if you're on 9-5 hours, I'd highly recommend going to your nearest pond, river, or lake to sit by it and take some time for yourself to relax.
